Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Edible Food Art for Kids ("we", "us") collects when you visit our website, buy from our shop, create an account, sign up for our newsletter or contact us, and how we use it.
Who we are
Edible Food Art for Kids is run by Sarah, the food artist behind the site. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time through our contact form.
What we collect
- When you place an order: your email address, first and last name, company name (optional), billing address, phone number, a separate shipping name, address and phone number if you ship somewhere else, any order notes you add, and the products you buy.
- When you pay: card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored on our website. If you tick "Save to account", Stripe keeps your card securely so you can reuse it next time.
- When you create an account: your login details, saved addresses, order history and e-book downloads.
- When you use our contact form: the topic you choose, your name, email address and message, and whether you ticked the newsletter box.
- When you sign up for our newsletter: your name and email address, either through a sign-up form on the site or the newsletter tick-box at checkout.
- When you browse the site: information collected through cookies and similar tools, such as the pages you visit, how you found us and the device and browser you use (see Cookies below).
How we use it and why
- To fulfil your order, including taking payment, sending your e-book download links, making and shipping physical products and sending order emails. We need this information to carry out our contract with you.
- To reply to your messages about questions, orders, commissions or press. Contact form messages are saved on our website and emailed to us.
- To send our newsletter with new creations, e-book releases and ideas, only if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To understand and improve the site using the analytics tools listed below.
- To keep the shop secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run the shop:
- Stripe, to process card payments and prevent fraud.
- Mailchimp, to send our newsletter and, if you subscribed, to link your shop activity to your subscription.
- WooCommerce services that calculate tax and shipping from your address.
- Microsoft Clarity and PayHelm, which help us understand how the site and shop are used.
- The partners who make and deliver our made-to-order physical products, who receive your name, shipping address and order details.
- Our website host, which stores the site and its data.
Some of these services are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, they protect your information with safeguards approved under data protection law.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use:
- Essential shop cookies from WooCommerce that remember your cart and keep you logged in (for example woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session).
- Payment cookies from Stripe (__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) that help prevent fraud.
- Order attribution cookies from WooCommerce (starting with sbjs_) that record how you arrived at the site, for example from a search engine or social media.
- Analytics from Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors scroll and click so we can improve the pages, and from PayHelm, which reports on shop sales.
- Marketing from the Mailchimp pixel, which connects shop activity to newsletter subscribers.
- Site cookies from our website builder (starting with breakdance_) that count visits so pop-ups are not shown too often.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
How long we keep it
- Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account.
- Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
- Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, such as for the newsletter, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, send us a message through our contact form. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Our site is made for parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
